Event Description

 We’re happy to announce that two of our dedicated students from the Centre for Cybersecurity and Mathematical Cryptology are participating in a transformative cybersecurity bootcamp in Thiès, Senegal! Organized by the UNDP United Nations Development Program in collaboration with Give1Project and the Open Society Foundations, this two-week event brings together 100 passionate youth from West and Central Africa.

These students Leslie Malabo and Cyrnaelle Loyck GAYILA MADZOU will gain invaluable skills to become agents of positive change and ambassadors of peace in cyberspace. Through experiential learning and collaboration with experts, they will develop innovative digital peacebuilding initiatives that promote reconciliation, social cohesion, and local ownership of peace processes.

Our students are also part of an ongoing online module, which has trained them to detect and prevent cyberattacks and online violence, empowering them to respond effectively to digital threats.

At the end of the bootcamp, they will emerge as digital ambassadors for peace, equipped with the tools to foster dialogue and collaboration within their communities. Their journey underscores our commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders in cybersecurity.
