- 19 Dec, 2025
- Cameroon, Bamenda
Event Description
Today marks the beginning of practical sessions for the third batch of students at the University Of Bamenda Centre for Cybersecurity and Mathematical Cryptology. These practical classes, led by three esteemed lecturers from Belgium, specifically from Haute École de Namur-Liège-Luxembourg (Hénallux), will take place over the course of a week.
These sessions provide students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of cybersecurity issues and acquire essential practical skills in this ever-evolving field. They will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during their training.
Students will cover various aspects of cybersecurity, including vulnerability_scanning, intrusion_detection, securing_networks_systems, and security_incident_management. Engaging in labs designed by the lecturers that reflect current security challenges, students will experience interactive learning where they can apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
They are encouraged to solve complex security problems, work in teams, and develop essential practical skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and informed decision-making. This hands-on work will enable students to strengthen their understanding of cybersecurity issues and prepare themselves to meet the challenges of digital security.
