The Africacrypt 2024 conference, which took place from July 10-12 at the Douala Star Land Hotel in Cameroon, has been a magnet for media attention in the region and beyond.

Organized by the University of Bamenda and the Cameroonian Anti-Cybercrime Unit, the conference brought together leading researchers, practitioners, and industry experts in the field of cryptography and cybersecurity. "Africacrypt 2024 has truly put the spotlight on the remarkable strides being made in cryptography and cybersecurity across the African continent," said Professor Emmanuel Fouotsa, the general chair and program coordinator of the Centre for Cybersecurity and Mathematical Cryptology at the University of Bamenda.
