On November 2nd, 2024, the University of Bamenda (UBa) held its 14th Matriculation Ceremony, welcoming a new cohort of freshmen. The event was marked by a strong emphasis on academic integrity and personal responsibility, as highlighted by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Theresia Nkuo-Akenki, in her address.

 Key Highlights from the Ceremony:

- Focus on Academic Excellence: Professor Nkuo-Akenki urged the newly admitted students to remain focused on their studies and to shun all forms of vices, including drug abuse. She emphasized the importance of dedication and hard work in achieving academic success.

- Guest Speaker's Message: The message was further reinforced by the guest speaker, Mrs. Sharila Shua Balon, who echoed the call for students to prioritize their education and avoid distractions that could hinder their academic journey.

- Participation of Cybersecurity Students: The ceremony also saw the presence of students from the Centre for Cybersecurity and Mathematical Cryptology, highlighting the university's commitment to fostering a diverse range of academic disciplines.
